TRYON-AR ("we," "us," or "our") is an AR app for Shopify that lets merchants offer real-time try-on fashion accessories using customers' device cameras. We prioritize privacy and collect minimal data. This policy covers data handling for merchants and complies with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and global laws.
Types of Data We Collect
We collect only:
- Merchant/Store Data (via Shopify API): Store name, access token, and authorization code — strictly required for app installation and authentication.
We do not collect:
- End-user/buyer data (e.g., names, emails, orders).
- Product, sales, or inventory data.
- Camera feed or any personal images (feed is processed locally in real-time on the user's device).
How We Collect Data
- Solely via Shopify API during app installation and authentication.
- No automatic collection of usage analytics, IP addresses, or device info.
- AR functionality uses the device's camera locally — no data transmission or storage.
How We Use Data
Data is used exclusively to:
- Authenticate and enable the app on your store.
- Power AR try-on features (e.g., overlaying accessories in real-time via device camera).
No additional purposes like marketing or analytics.
Sharing Data with Third Parties
We do not share data with any third parties, including subprocessors, advertisers, or services. Data stays within Shopify's ecosystem and your device.
Legal disclosures only if required by law.
Data Retention and Storage
- Access token and authorization code: Retained only while the app is installed; deleted upon uninstallation as per Shopify Privacy Law Compliance.
- No data storage: No data other than specified above under "Types of Data We Collect" is saved on our servers or elsewhere. AR processing is ephemeral and device-local.
International Data Transfers
Store authentication data (name, ID, token) is received via Shopify API and stored on our servers only while the app is active. No end-user personal data is involved or transferred.
For EEA/UK merchants: Transfers use Shopify's safeguards; we implement equivalent protections. No further mechanisms needed due to data nature. Details can be availed on request.
Your Rights and Choices
As a merchant, you can:
- Access or delete your store data via Shopify app uninstallation.
- Contact us for confirmation of deletion.
No opt-outs needed, as we collect no personal end-user data. EEA/CCPA rights (access, deletion, etc.) handled via email. Responses within 30 days.
Security
Tokens are encrypted and handled securely per Shopify standards. Local AR processing avoids transmission risks.
Children's Privacy
AR features are for general use; no data collection from children.
Changes to This Policy
Updates notified via app or email. Continued use means acceptance.
